It takes FAITH to do hard things! Things most people shy away from are things God may well challenge us to trust Him to do! Things that are costly in terms of time, money, resources, commitment – you know, the things that last and make memories! God works in these! Occasionally, situations arise that even go against how we are ‘wired’; things that involve resistance, censure, or (God forbid) conflict. Everyone loves a good story and these are what great faith stories are made of! You want a faith that’s worth something – that can do hard things.

I was fairly new in an organization where leaders used a morally offensive video clip in a Monday AM meeting. There were probably 25 in the room, mostly men. As a Christian who honors my marriage vows, boy was I uncomfortable! I love peace, not conflict! But I walked out of the meeting. They never did it again and I stayed on with the company. A few months later, I led one of the employees to Christ!

Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth.” But without FAITH, we are not worth our salt! 😊

Doing the will of God can be hard and requires real Faith! Sometimes, we are like the man who prayed “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief!” So HOW do we fill up the reservoir of our faith? We WANT to be able to obey God. We WANT to be courageous. We WANT to hear “Well done.” We WANT to be victorious. But HOW?? We cry out – HOW??

                             Get ready because this is where we win or lose the battle: It’s our DAILY HABITS!                                                                                                 Simple! But not easy! Now here’s God’s answer as to the HOW: 

                                                “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”  (Rom 10:17)

The LORD says the SOURCE of stronger faith is the Word. Reading it. Hearing, listening, memorizing. These things yield stronger Faith and stronger Faith yields POWER. Put a verse on the face of your iphone; Write verses on 3×5 cards to take with you. Put them on your mirror at home and on your dashboard in the car! I have 25 that I memorized early on – life changers! 

Many believers UNWITTINGLY GIVE THEIR POWER AWAY! What are you giving YOUR power to in your life? Entertainment? Social activities? News media? The options today are innumerable. Stop giving your power away on the cheap! If you want greater faith, YOU must CONTROL your time and INPUT. Spend time in the Word. The Word. That’s where the Power comes from. iOi
