About our President, Skye Alison, and how iOutreach Inc Began:
Attending church in the late 1950s was something almost everyone did; for Skye Alison, it was just a social exercise, a religious duty, going through rituals that had no meaning to him. That all changed at age sixteen when, through a series of events, Skye met Jesus of Nazareth. The relationship that began that August day would change the trajectory of his life and the lives of many others for eternity!
As Skye immersed himself in the Bible, God began settling the heart issues of this angry, skinny, scrappy kid. These changes in his life impacted his best friend and others who all came to know the Lord. Still pursuing God, Skye earned his college and postgraduate degrees in education with post graduate study in communication. He chose as his life verse “I pray you may be active in sharing your faith so you may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.”
Skye began a career in ministry at age 25 and he served churches in five different states over the next 25 years while also training others to share the gospel as a lifestyle. After resigning from pastoral work, Skye brought some men together to consider how to embolden believers to act on Jesus’ command to reach out to those who don’t know the Lord. The result? iOutreach, Inc., a 501c(3) parachurch ministry whose goal is to turn average believers into above-average followers and help ordinary churches become extraordinary!
In truth, only two things will last – the Word of God and the souls of men. In these days with few believers actively sharing the gospel and only 1% of churches experiencing conversion growth, the survival of the church is dependent on those who are sold out to God and winning souls. iOutreach, Inc. will come alongside the local church to equip believers to fulfill this calling.
Skye is accountable in his role as President and leader to our executive team including John Limmex as treasurer, and an advisory group of mature Christians who serve iOutreach, Inc. to provide counsel. All of those serving in this capacity are involved in ministry in their respective churches, all have jobs and families and are committed to helping believers communicate their spiritual convictions in unique and interesting ways which are not being done anywhere else.
Tremendous ovation goes to the men and woman whom God used in the early stages of iOutreach Inc, including Jeff Freed, Burt Johnson, John Hamilton, Bob and Diana VanGundy and Steve Boal for the vital input and contributions they made.
Philemon 1:6
6 and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.
