Four wks ago I told how my faith had flunked years ago; Since then, my faith and prayer life has markedly matured. The Lord has granted me many victories in the realm of prayer and faith! I personally witnessed God graciously suspend the laws of nature, perform various unusual miracles, and even heal an old veteran whose gangrenous legs the doctors didn’t bother to remove. His organs were shutting down and the Doctor called in the family. But days later, he went home! God not only saved Mr Andrews to the praise of God – but healed him as well!
How bold are your prayers?
Is your prayer life satisfying?
The most important Q – if you are not happy with your answers, do you want it to change?
Foundational to real prayer power are getting a few things straight in our heads AND hearts. And HERE is the PATH:
Please allow time to get these in place. Focus on a different ‘building block’ each week; Speak them aloud; burn each block into your mind. Memorize and meditate upon each one with the supporting verses and chapter contexts. [Remember: “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.” Proverbs 4:23]
Now for the 7 pillars for powerful praying:
- I am not what I want to be, but I am not what I was! (Eph 2:1-5; Js 1:18; Rom 8:1-3)
- God is at work in me Eph 2:10. I have part of the mind of Christ (2 Pet 1:3; 1 Cor 2:16)
- God knows me and is at work in the very place where I live (Ps 139:1; Acts 17:26)
- God invites me into His presence and my prayers COUNT (Heb 4:16; Js 5:16)
- My spiritual standing and joy is based solely on my abiding (Jn 15:7-16; Matt 7:7-11)
- Through each day, I will sing & thank God for everything that gives pleasure (Js 1:17)
- I obey, and trust God to complete His work in and through me for His glory (Phil 1:6)
Regarding #6, it’s ok to hum 😊. Joking aside, be assured if you do these 7 things in a rotting culture such as ours, the Holy Spirit inside you WILL stand out. And you will make a difference! I guarantee it!
Since 1864, “In God we trust” has been on our coins. And there was no question which God was in reference. It was the God of the Bible, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But, like Judah and Israel in the Old Testament, America has left God. Crisis happens when men lose faith and courage and then hope dwindles. The crisis in our nation today is a crisis of faith – largely due to God’s people abandoning Him, embracing sin and turning to other gods instead. It’s time to turn back. It’s time to pray BOLD prayers for an Awakening. It’s time to EMBRACE THE UNKNOWN. iOi
